The restaurant was very clean, and will be visited everytime we visit the area!!!!! Thank you for such good food, service, and atmosphere!
Good food. Fairly long wait but overall satisfying. Clean bathroom. Not many places open in lake lure or chimney rock Wednesday night's this time of year. Glad Riverwatch is here and open.
The service was just as amazing, and very quick! The owner checked on us and we had a very nice conversation about the area and when the tourist season is busiest.
We ate lunch today at Riverwatch while visiting Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. I had a grilled chicken mushroom Swiss with a side of baked potato and sour cream salad. The food was absolutely AMAZING!!!!! This place and this sandwich has become my favorite after eating it once!
Cannot say enough great things about this place. Ben was THE BEST WAITER, he cares for the customer! Food was perfect from taste to the price. Party of 12 (with kids) we originally sat outdoors and a storm rolled in. The staff was prepared and had a table saved inside for us (just in case). We were moved indoors away from the bad weather all with beautiful smiles from the staff. Good menu with lots of variety. And some good beers on tap. Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! I cannot wait to return.
I visited Riverwatch Bar & Grill during a large family vacation to Chimney Rock. There were at least 18 of us, including both children and adults, and with a fairly short-notice reservation they tried their best to accommodate a large group like ours. I, myself, tried both the Fried Mushrooms and Onion Rings, then had an entree of the Steak Alfredo. I liked everything that I had, and my steak was cooked just like I asked. Our waitress was very sweet and tried her best to work with our massive group. The wait was a bit long, but nothing was cold from what I heard. We did have one wrongly done steak, but it was promptly taken back and replaced with a correctly cooked one. Overall, we had a pleasant experience here.
This is a small restaurant and bar with a great view of the stream and Chimney Rock out on the back deck. The main offerings is about a dozen or more takes on the hamburger and all it's variations. I ended up ordering the Gouda burger. What makes this an awesome burger is something called "Bacon Jam" which is the topping on the burger. Yes, it's bacon with some very tasty sauce. If in the area again we will stop for lunch.p
