We end up in this place every time we're in chimney rock, which is usually 3-5 times a year, great staff and prices. My daughter loves the gem mining.
This is a really GREAT place to gem mine. First, it is up in the mountains and the drive is gorgeous! The roads are paved, safe and it is such a scenic ride. Once we arrived, it is located in a quant town. The store is upstairs, gem mining is down stairs. The gem mining was a great experience for both the adults and kids! The woman who runs the gem mining part is passionate about her job and helped us identify our finds. She took a good deal of time explaining all of the gems we found, which were a lot! We have gem mined at other locations and bar none, this one is the BEST. I highly recommend this location to anyone who wants to have a truly enjoyable day!
Birthday Party! We did their birthday party package for my daughter's 5th birthday. Not only was it great fun mining for the rocks but these are the stones we found. I highly recommend it!!!
I absolutely love this place! I am an avid rock and gemstone collector and I know this attraction is for kids, but I love it and thoroughly enjoy it as well! The price is $8.00 per person, but I think it's worth it. The gemstones are kind of small, but hey, for $8.00 what did you expect? This is awesome family attraction. The store itself is so cool and has lots of rocks and amazing gemstones to look at or purchase! I recommend this gemstone mining place to anyone of any age!
We had so much fun with it girls they keep wanting to go back. And the price was very reasonable for the greens we found but the memories are priceless!!
