We rented the Mohican cabin, owned by Jerry Allen, on Nov 3-5. Beautiful cabin but very dirty. Stay elsewhere! We left after the first night. I've contacted the owner and he will not respond. For almost $200 a night I would expect way more than what we got. A refund would be nice but apparently it's not gonna happen. Here is a list of what we encountered:
-no WiFi password provided
-not enough washcloths (had to buy my own)
-dirty bathtub
-flat pillows (had to buy my own)
-cobwebs everywhere
-old/outdated beds (very firm)
-blood on the mattress cover in master bedroom. THIS was the final straw!
I've stayed about 4 times. I'm from the area and this place is so peaceful and quiet. The place has always been spotless and the folks are alway nice. Great place across from the river .Just don't get any better than a picnic in the middle of the river on top of huge rocks. Place has everything you need , if they don't they will get it .!!

-some of the window a/c units had visible mildew
My wife and I stayed in the Cherokee Cabin. Having the hot tub was nice. The owner was quick to respond to any questions, and check out procedures were reasonable and simple. The location is perfect. This was our second time renting this cabin and we will visit again.
-dirty windows
-no batteries or battery door in bedroom remote
-air freshener plug-ins all over house that triggered a migraine and asthma attack
